Yoga sutras through Yama and Niyama subtly teaches us about the fundamental paradox of what we can control (relative truth) and what we cannot (absolute truth). Daily contemplation on these 10 principles can help us live in alignment to who we want to become (relative truth) and who we are (absolute truth).

Non-violence

I unconditionally love myself and everyone.

In oneness, there is no I, only compassion!

Truthfulness

I remain honest to myself and everyone.

In oneness, there is no I, only courage!

Non-stealing

I acknowledge what I and everyone have been given already.

In oneness, there is no I, only abundance and gratitude!

Non-possession

I help myself and everyone with whatever I can.

In oneness, there is no I, only service!

Non-excess

I see sameness in myself and everyone else in essence.

In oneness, there is no I, only energy!

Cleanliness

I commit to let go of everything which don’t serve me.

In oneness, there is no I, only forgiveness!

Contentment

I am happy with my body, mind, career, relationship, place etc

In oneness, there is no I, only joy!

Self-Discipline

I enjoy the effort and pain to learn in every moment.

In oneness, there is no I, only wisdom!

Self-Reflection

I live by my values, believes and strengths.

In oneness, there is no I, only awareness!

Surrender

I trust my future is taken care of.

In oneness, there is no I, only peace!

Thank you to all my teachers who embody love, truth, abundance, service, energy, forgiveness, peace, wisdom, awareness and unity!
